Health is a lifestyle choice – not a quick fad

The Art Of Living

This time of year, many of us have embarked on some kind of health kick or new ‘healthy’ regime. While this is a great way to motivate and enthuse some people, if it’s too difficult, the feelings to give up become overwhelming. I have seen this so many times with my clients, which is why, during lockdown I decided to design a really easy way of ensuring some good ingredients that could be easily digested and absorbed into the blood stream in the way of ‘Superfood blends’. As a Nutritionist and Author, I talk to people from all walks of life and do believe I have discussed, over the last 15 years, almost every ailment known to man! Be it physical health, or mental and emotional health, they are equally as important as each other. Health really is a lifestyle choice, and the amazing thing about understanding how the body works, is realising the incredible ability it has to heal and re balance – given the right tools.

Within my practice I conduct health scans by using DNA such as hair samples and saliva or urine. This gives me an accurate indication of where a person is lacking in Nutrition, how the organs are working, the condition of the blood, how the hormones are functioning, if the digestive system is working efficiently, and the list goes on. Once this test is complete, I am able to recommend certain foods, herbs, superfoods, supplements for my clients. I became so passionate about knowing what was working and making people really turn a corner when it came to their health, that I decided to design my own THRIVE products. I use only 100% natural and organic ingredients and there are 6 in my initial ‘S’ range. Consisting of – Super – Shield – Skin – Slim – Sleep and Sweet and they are all a perfectly balanced array of the best quality superfoods possible.

As an example, one of the most potent and beautiful ingredients in our ‘SKIN’ superfood blend is Rose powder. Not only does it smell divine, and look beautiful, it has surprising benefits far beyond beautiful skin. Roses have health benefits that can play a very integral role in your health process, which is why we have added it into our products.

For thousands of years, Ayurvedic healers have been using the rose plant in herbal remedies, teas, oils and skincare formulations. Rose not only heals and soothes the skin, but the heart and emotions too. It can assist in healing from past griefs so that a person can move on and enjoy the present moment. It also has a beautiful cooling effect on the blood which can help prevent skin issues such as acne and rashes, as well as be a powerful anti- aging remedy.

It can also help:

  • Balances hormones
  • Reduces inflammation of the eyes and skin
  • Soothes sore throats and coughs
  • Promotes restful and peaceful sleep
  • Cools the gastrointestinal tract
  • Soothes nervous, angry and sad emotions
  • May reduce wrinkles and slow down skin ageing
  • May reduce pain due to its analgesic effects
  • Has strong antibacterial and antiseptic properties
  • Reduces blood glucose levels
  • Has neuroprotective properties
  • Has antioxidant activity

And that’s just one ingredient, in one product! Over the coming weeks I am going to tell you about all the beautiful ingredients in my six superfood blends and why, just one scoop per day is going to be the easiest way you can get your nutrients into your body! Each and every blend comes with its own recipe card, so you know exactly how to include it in your diet. The purpose of the recipe cards is to help inspire you to get creative with your blends and your healthy diet. They can be added to a green smoothie, made into protein balls, added to your coconut yoghurts or simply just added to water. Whatever is your preference!

Health should be all of our priorities and making it easy and enjoyable for you is mine!
