Fundraising’s the goal! Take us on at six-a-side football and help give charity a boost

Match

Fancy raising a team to take on the Chichester News in a charity six-a-side football match? We’ve dusted off our boots (well, trainers) and are ready to get a kick out of the Beautiful Game…with charity the real winner!

We’ll donate £100 to charity (to be chosen) if we lose the encounter and we are eager to find opponents who are ready to do battle. We’ve got a couple of secret weapons limbering up in anticipation of the match. That said our squad is of a certain vintage so it would perhaps suit a team of a similarly age!

We will stage at Chichester College on Thursday 6th July with a kick-off of 18:30. Team boss Ryan Ewen is keen to help boost the coffers of local charities and at the same time engage with the community. He explained: “We’ve all played a bit before but are a little bit rusty, but we’ll be organised and give a good account of ourselves.

“We have booked the pitch for an hour so we can play 12 minutes each way if we play two matches one after the other, or 20 minutes each way for one game. Format is six-a-side with two subs if required.”

Are you game? Let us know, and let the action unfold!
