The West Sussex Guitar Club will launch its 2026/27 season this September with a professional recital by internationally acclaimed guitarist Ian Watt.
The concert is scheduled for Saturday 26 September 2026 at the Regis School of Music in Bognor Regis, with the performance starting at 7.30pm.
Watt, who serves as a faculty member at both the Royal Academy of Music and the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, first rose to international prominence as a silver medalist at the 2009 Parkening International Guitar Competition. His appearance in Bognor Regis marks the opening of the club’s new series of professional recitals.

The evening’s programme is set to feature a diverse range of repertoire. The first half will focus on a “London theme,” including works by the 19th-century composer Fernando Sor, who spent significant time in the capital. The second half of the recital will include works by Stephen Goss.
Practical information for attendees
The event will be held at the club’s regular home, the Regis School of Music, located at 46 Sudley Road.
Tickets for the recital are priced at £18 for non-members and £15 for club members. In a bid to encourage younger audiences, the West Sussex Guitar Club offers free admission to all under-18s, while full-time students can attend for half-price.
The venue is accessible via local public transport links in Bognor Regis.
Founded in 1993, the West Sussex Guitar Club is a registered charity that remains a central fixture of the local arts scene in the Bognor Regis and Chichester area.
