Space hero Tim Peake tells 1.5million fans award-winning Novium exhibition is out of this world

Starman Major Tim Peake‏ reckons the award-winning exhibition showcasing his trip to space at the Novium Museum is out of this world.

The city centre museum last night won a gong for the Tim Peake feature at prestigious Museum & Heritage awards, and the astronaut was quick to congratulate organisers .

And e took to social media to announce on his Twitter account, which has a staggering 1.53million followers: “Congratulations @TheNovium museum on the #MandHAwards – great result & well deserved!”

The museum took the honours as winner of the Temp/Tour category for the Tim Peake: An Extraordinary Journey exhibition, which was adjudged to be “inspiring & amazingly good value”.

A Museum & Heritage awards spokesman said: “Congratulations to all our winners and finalists. The winners were revealed at a packed-out glittering ceremony.

“These awards celebrate best practice within the world of museums, galleries, cultural and heritage visitor attractions, attracting hundreds of entries which battle it out to win one of 11 prestigious awards.”
