The closure is listed in a West Sussex County Council temporary closure notice, which says the order is due to come into effect on 23 May 2026.
When the works are expected
The sewerage works are proposed to start on or after 23 May 2026 and are expected to take one week.
The notice also says the legal order can remain in force for up to 18 months or until the works are completed, whichever is earlier. That is the maximum legal period for the order and should not be read as the expected length of the works.
