Glastonbury Festival has officially confirmed its return for 2027, setting ticket sale dates for early October 2026 and announcing a new record-high price. For the first time in the event’s history, the cost of attendance will surpass the £400 mark, reflecting the rising costs of staging the massive Somerset gathering after its 2026 fallow year.
The festival will take place at Worthy Farm from June 23 to June 27, 2027. Before the ticket windows open, organizers have stressed that the most critical deadline for prospective attendees is registration. Anyone wishing to buy a ticket must be registered with a valid photo by 5:00 PM BST on Friday, September 25, 2026. Existing registrations should also be checked well in advance to ensure photos are up to date and details are correct.
Ticket Sale Dates and Payment Structure
The scramble for tickets is split into two distinct windows in October 2026. The first opportunity is for those booking travel packages, followed by the general admission sale a few days later:
- Tickets plus coach travel: Thursday, October 1, 2026, at 6:00 PM BST.
- General admission tickets: Sunday, October 4, 2026, at 9:00 AM BST.
The total price for a Glastonbury 2027 ticket is set at £408, which includes a £403 ticket fee and a £5 booking fee. This represents a £29.50 increase from the 2025 price of £378.50 and a £48 jump from the 2024 price.
Despite the higher total cost, fans do not need the full amount immediately. At the time of booking in October, a £100 deposit per person is required. The remaining balance of £308 will not be due until the first week of April 2027. This staggered payment system remains a staple of the festival’s booking process, allowing fans to secure their spot months before the final payment is required.
Lineup Rumors and Official Denials
While the full lineup is typically not revealed until long after tickets have sold out, speculation is already mounting for the 2027 return. Festival co-organizer Emily Eavis has already moved to manage expectations by scotching rumors that Madonna will headline the event. Eavis stated that the “Queen of Pop” is not currently in the frame for a Pyramid Stage slot in 2027.
In the absence of confirmed acts, bookmakers and fans have pointed to several high-profile possibilities. Taylor Swift, who was originally set to headline the cancelled 2020 festival, remains a frequent subject of speculation. Other names currently circulating in the rumor mill include Harry Styles and Stevie Wonder, though no official announcements regarding the musical bill are expected until 2027.
With the 2026 fallow year intended to allow the land and local village to recover, demand for the 2027 edition is expected to be exceptionally high. Organizers continue to urge fans to only use the official See Tickets portal, as any other site claiming to sell tickets is unauthorized.
