The Goodwood Revival has entered its second day of celebrations at the Goodwood Motor Circuit, with the 2026 edition focusing on the centenary of Maserati’s racing legacy.
The three-day event, which runs from Friday 18 September to Sunday 20 September, continues to draw thousands of vintage enthusiasts to the area north of Chichester. Today’s schedule is headlined by a parade marking 100 years of Maserati in motor racing, featuring a collection of the Italian manufacturer’s most significant historical vehicles.
In addition to the Maserati celebrations, the circuit is hosting a daily parade of more than 300 pre-1967 scooters to mark the 80th anniversary of the Vespa. The weekend also includes a tribute to Sir Jack Brabham, celebrating the centenary of his birth and the 60th anniversary of his 1966 Formula 1 World Championship victory.
A significant shift for the 2026 event is the requirement for all competing vehicles in every race to use sustainable fuel. This follows previous years where the initiative was phased in across specific races, making the Revival the first historic motor racing event of its scale to mandate the change across its entire programme.
Local traffic and road closures
For Chichester residents and those travelling through the area, several road closures and traffic restrictions remain in place to manage the high volume of visitors.
According to The Argus, the following areas are affected by official restrictions:
- Westhampnett
- Goodwood
- Lavant and East Lavant
- Strettington
Heavy traffic is expected to continue around the A27 and the northern outskirts of Chichester until the circuit clears this evening.
Ticket availability and 2027 dates
Organisers have confirmed that tickets for Saturday and full three-day passes are sold out. A very limited number of Sunday tickets may remain, though visitors are advised to check official channels before travelling to the circuit without a booking.
For those looking ahead to next year, the dates for the 2027 Goodwood Revival have already been announced. Tickets will go on sale this coming Monday, 21 September 2026. The initial release will be available to Goodwood Road & Racing Club (GRRC) members and those who held tickets for the 2026 event.
The event concludes tomorrow, Sunday 20 September, with a final day of racing and the traditional prize-giving ceremony.
