Into comics? Love games? Or, perhaps you love both and are also fond of a coffee and a chinwag with like-minded folk? An affirmative to any of the three questions should find you scurrying to Comics, Games and Coffee.
The shop, which you will find in North Street, Chichester, is a hub for fans of all the above and is a stockist of boardgames, collectable card games, roleplay games, graphic novels, comics and serves coffee to bot!
And the outlet, AKA CGC Emporium, says it does its best to offer a wide range of goods to customers, and the following declaration should provide an idea of just how seriously they take their business: “If we don’t have something you want, just get in touch and we’ll try to find it for you.”
“We do our best to make sure you come away with exactly what you need, whether it’s the right comic or graphic novel for you, the right board game for your family or the right game accessory for what you’re playing.”
The stock and service is winning rave reviews online. One reads: “Visited Chichester, and as always seek a little ‘geekdom’. I came in looking for figures and collectables, the selection was good but not quite what i was looking for. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
“The shop was busy with gamers and the shelves were stocked with an extensive choice of board games (proper board games…with more the two dice!), card games, funko pop figs, with a selection of the higher priced collectables. Plus a wall of comic books and a chunk of graphic novels. Having spent only 10 mins there I wish every town had a shop like this, especially one closer to me! I would recommend them highly.”
Another fan of the shop wrote: “I frequent Comics, Games and Coffee at least once a week, and wholeheartedly recommend it, not just for comics, which it has a great variety of, not just for board games, which it arguably has the best selection in Chichester, but just for somewhere to sit down, relax, and have a cup of tea.
“Owen and Tom, the owners, go out of their way to make you feel welcome, and their amazing knowledge of all things games and comics, will help you search out a present for a loved one, or something just for you! They also hold games tournaments, and are happy to teach people the rules of their many games they have ready to play. If you’re ever nearby, a visit is a must!”
