ITV has announced a comprehensive overhaul for the upcoming 15th series of The Voice UK, confirming Stacey Solomon and Alesha Dixon as the program’s new co-hosts. The duo will replace longtime presenter Emma Willis, who is departing the singing competition after 12 years at the helm.
The move marks a significant career milestone for Solomon, who first rose to fame as a contestant on The X Factor in 2009. She joins Dixon, a veteran of several major reality formats, as part of a “total refresh” strategy aimed at revitalizing the long-running series.
The presenting shake-up coincides with a dramatic transformation of the coaching panel. ITV officially revealed a new line-up that sees the return of pop icon Cheryl to television alongside Manchester rapper Aitch. They will join the coaching panel for Series 15, while departing the show are Sir Tom Jones, Danny Jones, and Tom Fletcher.
The exit of Sir Tom Jones has already generated significant discussion. While the network characterized the changes as a creative refresh, the veteran singer released a statement on Instagram claiming he was “fired.” According to Jones, he was informed that his departure was due to financial difficulties regarding insurance rather than a personal or creative choice to leave the spinning chairs.
Emma Willis’s departure follows her transition to a high-profile role elsewhere. She has been confirmed as part of a historic three-person hosting team for Strictly Come Dancing, where she will lead the show alongside Johannes Radebe and Josh Widdicombe. This shift marks the first time the ballroom competition has utilized a trio of presenters in this manner.
Beyond the personnel changes, Series 15 will introduce a new mechanic to the Blind Audition format: the “Rewind” button. This feature will allow coaches an additional layer of interaction or decision-making during the initial phase of the competition, though the specific rules governing its use have yet to be fully detailed.
