p>Chichester City Council has confirmed it will host a Macmillan Coffee Morning at the Council House this September, joining thousands of organisers across the country for the annual fundraising event.
The event is scheduled for Friday 25 September 2026, with the doors opening to the public from 10:00 am until 12:30 pm. Held at the Council House on North Street, the morning serves as a community gathering to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support.
The fundraiser is an open-access event, meaning members of the public do not need to book in advance to attend. Refreshments, including coffee and cake, will be available in exchange for donations.
Venue and Access
The Council House is situated at North Street, Chichester, PO19 1LQ. As the administrative headquarters for the City Council, the venue is a central landmark in the city centre. The 2026 event continues a tradition of the local authority supporting the national “World’s Biggest Coffee Morning” initiative, which officially takes place on the final Friday of September.
All proceeds from the refreshments sold during the two-and-a-half-hour window will go directly to Macmillan to help fund its support programmes for those living with cancer.
For those attending the city centre, the Council House is located a short distance from the Cross. No specific road closures have been announced in association with the event, and normal pedestrian access to North Street remains unaffected.
