The Scottish dub collective An Dannsa Dub will perform in the Chichester District this September, with organisers confirming a venue change for the upcoming show.
The performance, originally scheduled to take place at Room 12 in Chichester city centre, has been moved to Westbourne Community Hall. The event, hosted by local non-profit WemsFest, is scheduled for Friday 11 September 2026.
An Dannsa Dub is known for a style described as “Future Dub from Ancient Scotland,” which fuses traditional Gaelic song and acoustic instruments with heavy digital dub basslines. The group was formed in 2020 by dub producer Tom Spirals and traditional musician Euan McLaughlin, gaining a reputation for high-energy live sets that bridge the gap between folk music and club culture.
Community funding and local support
WemsFest, a community interest company based in the Emsworth and Westbourne area, operates on a not-for-profit basis. All proceeds from ticket sales and the event’s bar are reinvested into local education. Specifically, the funds will support musical workshops in district schools during Black History Month in October.
In addition to the workshop funding, a charity bucket will be stationed at the bar to collect donations for Options Chichester. The organisation provides relationships and sex education programmes within local schools.

The concert at Westbourne Community Hall on River Street will open its doors at 7:30 PM for an 8:00 PM start.
Tickets for the evening are priced at £17.50 and can be purchased online via WemsFest.
Westbourne is situated within the Chichester District of West Sussex. Although it shares the PO10 postcode area with Emsworth, the venue remains under the jurisdiction of Chichester District Council. Attendees are advised to check local parking arrangements near River Street (PO10 8TG) ahead of the 8:00 PM start time.
