The historic Boston Manor House in Brentford is hosting a unique exhibition this autumn that explores the intersection of heritage architecture and contemporary fashion. Entitled ‘Floating Architectural Spaces’, the installation runs until 25 October 2026, offering visitors a fresh perspective on the recently restored Jacobean manor.
The project draws direct inspiration from the building’s 17th-century features, blending textile design with the house’s grand interiors. A central highlight of the exhibition is a dedicated chapter commemorating the 100th anniversary of the birth of Queen Elizabeth II, who was born in 1926.
For those looking for a deeper insight into the creative process, a special artist-led tour and informal designer talk will be held on Thursday 1 October 2026. The evening event, which runs from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm, allows attendees to discuss the works within the context of the manor’s architecture.
The exhibition also incorporates a multi-sensory experience through an audio-visual installation. This features the English tenor Kieran White, further layering the cultural narrative of the display. The presence of the JCA London Fashion Academy, founded by Professor Jimmy Choo OBE, provides a modern academic backdrop to the historic setting.
Boston Manor House reopened to the public in 2023 following an extensive restoration project. The house is currently open to visitors from Tuesday to Sunday, between 12:00 pm and 5:00 pm.
